Being able to lock the autofocus point to the centre of the screen should be possible on any modern camera. Yet Leica, the advocate of simplicity and the architect of focus and recompose, as on its M rangefinder cameras, stubbornly refuses to implement the change....
A focus point with a life of its own: That has been the problem with Leica digitals from the X Vario, through the X, to the SL and now the CL. Why, oh why, can we not have a fixed central focus point selectable from the menu?

But Leica's Robin Sinha and I found the solution. it's easy when you know how.
