Explore Leica’s SL3 Reporter: Precision meets unique design

Today, Leica announced the launch of the SL3 Reporter, a robust design variant of its mirrorless full-frame camera system, geared to meeting the most exacting of photographic challenges.

According to Leica, the Leica SL3 Reporter is equipped with features specifically designed for the harsh conditions of reportage and press photography. It thus enables maximum precision even under the most adverse shooting conditions. The result combines maximum functionality and reliability with a unique camera design that is both understated and striking.

The Leica SL3 Reporter features a particularly scratch-resistant dark green finish and an aramid fabric cover. This provides additional protection for the camera body against abrasion and environmental influences. Leica says the special trim, with its unique texture, also offers significantly improved grip. As a result, it ensures enhanced stability when taking photographs and filming.

Over time, Leica expects the trim to develop a unique patina, reflecting its photographic journey and the character of a true reportage camera. The distinctive design is characterised by a combination of dark-green paintwork with black control elements. According to the company, the absence of the red Leica logo serves to emphasise the SL3 Reporterโ€™s suitability for challenging working environments.

In terms of technical specifications, the SL3 Reporter corresponds to the standard SL3 series model. The SL3 combines state-of-the-art technology with outstanding image quality of up to 60 megapixels, precise autofocus, the best materials and โ€˜Made in Germanyโ€™ manufacturing quality.

The Leica SL3 Reporter is now available worldwide in all Leica Stores, the Leica Online Store and specialist retailers. Sample prices are ยฃ6,200 | โ‚ฌ7,200 including VAT. US price to be added later.
