THERE ARE always surprises at WWDC but news of the upgraded MacBooks came right at the beginning and it seems that the rumours hadn't got this one. Faster processors, much better battery life, an SD slot, RAM up to 8GB and improved displays. All this adds up to a significant improvement for the range. A gnashing of MacOldie dentures here: A 15in MBP had joined the stable only six months ago. At least the rumours had one thing right–the aluminium MacBook is to be known henceforth as the 13-in MacBook Pro.
