Here’s the original Kindle, as it appeared in an the April 1935 edition of Everyday Science and Mechanics. Pity it never took off. I would have loved one of these in the days before LDC and e-ink screens. It would have been a good complement for typewriters, Gestetner duplicators and carbon paper.
What can I say? Simply wonderful gadget! Like you, I would love one of these, in fact I think I might even make myself one……
