Best text editors for iPad

Which is the best text editor for the iPad? My current favourite is Writing Kit, which I reviewed on February 21 and I was pleased to see that Federico Viticci of Macstories agrees with me. He has produced a wonderfully detailed review of the contenders, Writing Kit, WriteUp, Notesy and Elements. Writing Kit got his overall vote for the same reason I chose it: it combines the writing with powerful research tools. However, I agree with him that Writing Kit is a niche app that has features many iOS owners choosing a text editor do not need. As a straightforward but fully featured text editor, both Federico and I would recommend Notesy. I also reviewed Notesy last May and chose it as the best note app at the time.
