1974: Arthur C. Clarke predicts the Internet and social networks

This short clip from Australia’s ABC network screened in 1974 shows Arthur C. Clarke predicting personal computers, the internet, remote banking and buying tickets on-line by the year 2001. As he moves his hands to describe the “console” that would be in every home, I can’t help thinking he is really trying to visualise an iPad. Wonderful stuff.
