eBooks: Is new iPad’s retina display better than e-ink?

There is no definitive winner when it comes to the best book reading devices. Some swear by e-ink such as found on the Kindle Touch; others, including me, prefer backlit screens as on the iPad. In fact, I much prefer reading on the iPhone, but that’s another story. ArsTechnica asks whether the arrival of the new iPad with its superb retina display changes the game.
