The iPad must be the least convenient camera in the world; but it’s surprising how many people you find attempting to record their vacation with such a big snapper. I found the iPad to be a popular camera in China; now tourists are stalking the shores of the Mediterranean, tablet in hand.
Still, it has to be said that if you want to pose with a pelican (who doesn’t?), a front-facing camera has some merit. Except in the resolution stakes, that is, because it is challenged even by Skype.
Petros the Pelican remains entirely unruffled by Cupertino’s finest and is looking uncharacteristically bashful. Will he be in focus, I wonder?
The bold iPadistra is in perilously close proximity to the large bird as she backs herself into view. He’s an old softie, really, but he taught me a lesson a few minutes later when my shiny new Fuji X-Pro 1 got within beaking distance. I knew I should have had a zoom lens.
