Publishing for Windows Market Place like walking on broken glass

While lauding the Apple eco-system in the last article, I was aware that the app store concept has been adopted by all the company’s main competitors. Somehow, though, nothing else is quite as integrated nor as easy for the consumer as Apple’s seamless approach.

I know the App Store has its faults and causes developers occasional frustrations, but the majority of customers neither knows nor cares about them. As far as the average consumer is concerned the system works just fine.

Interesting, then, to read this rather depressing story from a Windows Marketplace developer. This is a far cry from a seamless operation and the story serves only to emphasise the point I made in my last piece.
