September 12 launch for iPhone all but confirmed

Throughout yesterday the press chewed over the rumour that the new iPhone, an iPad mini and a revised iPod touch would be announced on September 12. By this morning it’s clear the rumour has legs. Bloomberg and Reuters, among others, have said the date is a near certainty.
