Four years of Macfilos already

Four years ago today I got my first iPhone, a 3G, and was so enthusiastic I just had to broadcast the information to the world. This, then, was the first posted article on Macfilos. It’s a wonder to me, looking back, that I just waded in without so much as a bye or a leave; no “hello, this is me and I’m about to start boring you to death on as regular a basis as I can reasonably manage”. No, I just jumped in at the deep end and started talking about the new iPhone.

I came very late to the blogging world, despite having been a journalist and then, for most of my working life, a communications professional. I was always a writer. But it was a big step to start a venture such as Macfilos. In a way, it’s a bit like starting a diary on January 1. Usually, by February 1 the venture has lost its charm for another year.

No one is more surprised than I, frankly, that I have managed to keep this up for all of four years. I have blogged from London, mainly, but often from other parts of Europe, the Americas and the Far East and I’ve enjoyed every minute of it.

Thank you, dear readers, for continuing to follow Macfilos and I look forward to enjoying your company for some more years yet.
