Normally I am in London when a new iPhone is announced, except for the iPhone 4 launch when I was at the heart of the matter in San Francisco. This time, though, I find myself in Greece, a full ten hours ahead of activities in the Bay.
So iPhone day has already dawned and will be almost over by the time Tim Cook stands up to announce all the new stuff. By a feat of bad planning I leave for London at five o’clock tomorrow morning, so I definitely need an early night without any new-product distractions. The new iPhone will have to wait if I stand any chance of getting to sleep. As I said, bad planning.
