Mapsgate: A temperate view

Amid all the hooha about Apple Maps we could be forgiven for thinking there is a major disaster underway. I am not a great Maps App user and, so far, have not had the opportunity to find out for myself. But I’ve read all the scare stories about rogue airports in the middle of Dublin and whole swathes of countryside missing from some European countries.

I was encouraged, therefore, to read this temperate and well-reasoned article by Jean-Louis Gassée, with some real-life examples from the USA and France.
