While we bloggers around the world have been sitting in peace and posting our thoughts, Squarespace has been under siege in hurricane-stricken New York City. Despite flooded basements, submerged emergency fuel supplies and imminent threat of closure, Squarespace staff and their hosts at Peer1 have managed to keep the service running. At one stage staff were carrying fuel cans up 17 storeys in the dark, just to keep the emergency generators running. A mammoth job and a job well done. There has been absolutely no downtime.
