Today is the 150th anniversary of the opening of the London Underground. The original 1863 steam-powered line between Paddington Station and Farringdon is the oldest underground railway in the world; it still holds the record as the world’s only steam undergound railway (although it has long been electrified). To celebrate the Tube’s birthday, Google has published this anniversary Google Doodle which features the world-famous London Underground map.
