A previously indecipherable recording made by Alexander Graham Bell has been brought to life by boffins at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. Read more here in The Verge. Bell has a lilting Scottish twang and sounds suprisingly modern, unlike the tortured vowels encountered in old British films from the 1930s and 1940s.
