I am constantly amazed by the results I get from casual snapshots using the iPhone 5. Today I friend sent me this zoomed shot of the full moon taken near Drakonisi, Mykonos, earlier last week.

I captured the moon on the same evening with the Leica Monochrom and 90mm Tele-Elmarit lens and published it here. This is one instance where I might have been better using a colour camera, but the astonishing thing about the iPhone camera is the result from the microscopic 1/3.2in sensor, even despite the pinch-to-zoom used here.
