My long-time favourite among the many calendar apps for iPhone is Flexibits’ Fantastical. Apple’s standard fare has been improved, no doubt, but for ease of use, natural-language event entry and searchability, Fantastical is the one alternative you really must try. The all-new Fantastical 2 has been launched today and it is one of the nicest and prettiest apps I have ever used.
Federico Viticci of Macstories has published one of his exhaustive review of Fantastical 2 and you owe it to yourself to read further and find out what the little app can do to make your life easier. If you are new to non-Apple calendar apps, there is no loss of data and no changeover problems. Your existing calendar data is accessed by Fantastical and you can switch between Calendar and other applications as the fancy takes you.
Fantastical 2 is available in the App Store at the low introductory price of £1.99 for short time. At the moment there is no iPad version.
