iPad Air sells out in Hong Kong

The iPad Air has sold out in Hong Kong just two hours after going on sale. While other Asian countries still appear to have stocks, CNN reports that demand for the new tablet could be higher than expected. I have a feeling the launch of the Air has created so much interest that it will be a massive seller . This could lead to the sort of Apple Store queues we normally associate with a new iPhone.

The new iPad mini, meanwhile, is unlikely to become available until November 21 and then only in limited quantities because of display shortages. At least this will give the large body of Air-or-mini waverers, in which I include myself, the chance to go in-store to fondle the full-size tablet before the time comes to decide.
