It isn’t possible to walk along the northern moat of the Gugong, the Forbidden City, without falling over brides and the occasional bridegroom. No matter the season or the weather, Beijing’s intrepid newlyweds and would-be-weds are on parade in their finery and facing some seriously well-equipped professional cameras. They can be found mainly at the north western and north eastern corners of the city complex.
