World’s first Apple retailer closes

Thirty-seven years after selling its first Apple Computer, First Tech of Minneapolis has closed, putting 75 people out of work. Opened in 1941 as Team Electronics, First Tech found it increasingly difficult to compete with the five local Apple Stores and other electronics retail outlets.
