The review of the superb Fuji XF 56mm f/1.2 lens has taken top spot for readership this week, closely followed by two other Fuji-related posts, our comparison between the X100 and X-T1 as a street camera and Bill Palmer’s excellent piece on Fuji macro solutions.
Consistently, there is great interest among readers in using Leica lenses on Fuji X-series and Sony A7-series cameras. In addition, the review of the Leica X-Vario continues to feature in the top-ten nearly a year after it was published. Only yesterday I bumped into a Macfilos reader at Red Dot Cameras who had bought a beautiful silver X-Vario complete with tan half-case and EVF as a result of reading the test.
He was delighted with the camera which, frankly, continues to be seriously underestimated in the marketplace. Second-hand versions now offer exceptionally good value for money and I suspect prices will stabilise because this camera is on the way to becoming a Leica digital classic, just like the early Digilux models. It has a great lens and is a sturdy performer, a great travel companion.
