Leica M7: Neil gets a new jacket to go with his fancy two-tone strap

Neil, my lovely lizard-skinned à la carte Leica M7 with his seductive black trim, has a new jacket to go with the recently acquired black-and-red leather strap from Harry Benz. He’s now a real international Neil-about-town with his Canadian strap, hand-made in Toronto, and matching Arte di Mano leather half-case crafted by the talented Sejun Kim in his new Seoul workshop. Neil deserves the best, and I decided he warranted some red stictching to match Harry’s Urushi strap.

As usual, I cannot fault Sejun’s handiwork and his latest creation fits Neil like a glove. This is a dedicated M7 case but I made sure Sejun took care not to cover up Neil’s name. The case even sports a modest front grip and a small rear thump to make the camera more stable in use.

How Neil is pleased with himself. He’s accepted a new roll of HP4 and we’re off out to take some pictures together.

Neil was supplied by Red Dot Cameras in Old Street, London, so the red trim is quite appropriate.

  1. Mike, Neil is a sight to behold in his new, almost Savile Row tailored Arte di Mano jacket, set off with red stitching, and accompanying, Harry Benz, Urushi strap, also beautifully edged in red. He really does the a la Carte Leica M7 justice.
