Apple Watch is sold out. Within six hours of its appearance in the on-line store at 12.04 Pacific Time this morning, delivery dates on almost all models had slipped to June. Early birds such as yours truly are in line for delivery in the first batch starting April 24. But even rich kids are now in the mIre. Delivery dates for the $10k gold Edition are entering August as I write.
It was well known that initial stock would be limited but the rapid sellout is surprising. Could it be that Apple has just sold more smartwatches in six hours than the rest of the industry did in six months? One thing we can say for certain: Apple is already the largest smartwatch supplier in the world.
