The new iOS9, coming this autumn, brings a welcome touch for thumb typists. Instead of always showing upper-case letters, as a normal physical keyboard, the new virtual keyboard will have upper and lower case depending on which is selected. So no more prodding the shift key to see which mode is in force. This is something I have never thought much about. And not being an Android users, I hadn’t realised that Android has had this useful feature for some time. It is definitely a welcome move and just another reason to look forward to the new iOS. Among its other tricks iOS9 brings limited multi-tasking to the iPad. Another overdue feature.
