Leica M(240) firmware 2.0.2.5 now available

A minor firmware update for the M240 is now on the Leica site for download and installation. According to the accompanying notes, the improvements are fairly minimal. As always it is worth keeping up to date and the bug fixes are important.

  • A new menu item “Flash exposure compensation” to adjust flash exposure with the Leica SF26 flash unit, only active when the SF 26 is attached. The function required Firmware 1.1 on the flash unit.
  • Several firmware bugs that caused occasional camera hang p when using Live View or Video functions have been fixed.

  1. I don’t see any compelling reasons to update here. I’m going to stick with the existing firmware.
