Ninety years of Leica history

Interesting outline of the Leica story at Shutterbug.com:

Ninety years ago, at the 1925 Leipzig Spring Fair in Germany, a camera was launched that was destined to change the face of photography. 1. Dear Mike

This is a short but interesting article on a very large topic. The value figures at the end, which presumably are for US readers who like to know the value of everything, are well understated for the Model 1 and there is quite a wide range of values for that model depending on the date of manufacture, serial number and condition. A quick look at the Collectiblend website would confirm this. Thanks for bringing this to our attention.

Thanks for this useful addition. I am no expert, as you know, so it
is good to have further information and a fresh perspective.
