A summer Sunday afternoon, a drinks party by the Thames, relaxation: Leave the camera at home. And then, suddenly, out of the east appears Gloriana, the royal barge. It’s the replica of Queen Elizabeth’s state barge constructed for the current Queen Elizabeth’s Diamond Jubilee. Nothing for it but to get out the iPhone, the camera that is always in my pocket and the one that produces some commendable results when pressed. It seems that every time I decide to leave a proper camera at home, something interesting sails into view. Lesson learned, yet again.
