As an antidote to the monotones of the Monochrom, I packed the Leica Q to provide a second body and lens for capturing the Brooklands Military Vehicles Day last Sunday. Colour gives an entirely different perspective and I decided to segregate the two sets of photographs into separate posts. You can find the monochrome shots here.
Finally, editor Evans himself behind the Monochrom in the Brooklands Sunbeam Café
Don’t know if I can post twice was remiss in not complimenting you on your Barbour is it a Beaufort? I have two wax cotton and newer one and westmoreland vest..I find my x2 w ovf fits great in side pockets so don’t use camera case.but probably should get one.
Yes, I currently own a Beaufort but have a few old ones. A Chinese friend saw me in one of my old, threadbare Barbours and thought I was some sort of down and out. I had to explain: The older the better.
I don’t know who has more fun you or John Shingleton mr X1!
Shingleton is a purist with the X1. I am a jack of all trades, hopping from one camera to another in the interests of science. He is always advising me to stick to one camera; I have to explain that I wouldn’t have anything to write about if I did.
