This is the opening of an admirable article by GaryG, watch collector and student of Ming Thein, one of the world’s foremost specialist watch photographers. I’ve linked to the fascinating horological website, Quill&Pad before, but I’m sure you will love this particular story, as much for the history as for the outstanding series of illustrations. Gary tells how he inherited his grandfather’s watch collection and delves into this history of his family: In 1910 they immigrated to the USA from Lithuania.
