Leica special edition lenses in stock at Red Dot

Red Dot Cameras in London currently has stocks of two special-edition M lenses which have limited availability worldwide. The Safari Edition of the 90mm APO-Summicron-M f/2 is part of a production of just 250 and is available for ÂŁ4,000, including VAT. The normal black version of this lens costs ÂŁ3,515.

One of the most popular M lenses, the 35mm Summilux-M f/1.4 ASPH, is offered in the Leitz Wetzlar edition with white and grey inlays and a grey Leica dot – just the job for your Monochrom. 500 of these lenses have been made for the world market and Red Dot has stocks at £4,600, including VAT. The standard edition of this lens costs just under £4,000 and I think the £600 premium for this limited edition is worth paying because it will retain a higher proportion of its value in the future.

More lenses: The new Voigtländer 35mm Nokton f/1.2 Aspherical III VM lens is also now in stock at a cost of £1,099, including VAT. For SL owners, the popular 50mm APO-Summicron-SL ASPH is now back in stock at a cost of £3,750.
