The latest Leica SL2/S firmware 5.2 brings several improvements to both the SL2 and SL2-S to enhance the use of the company’s L-Mount cameras. The new battery type BP-SCL6 is now supported on both cameras, and there is no longer any limitation on the use of lenses with higher power consumption. In addition, newer M lenses are supported. The usual bug fixes make this upgrade essential for all SL2/S users.

Hi there!
Anyone noticed any change in AF performance on the SL2-S? Used my 90-280 after the update and it feels like AF is faster and snappier. Is it so or just a coincidence or my imagination.
Cheers
Adding that Leica also released firmware 4.0 for the original SL.
Oops. I got confused. I remember seeing the reference to 4.0 but didn’t realise the significance. There was no press release (unusually) so I had to make up the story from the website information. Thanks for pointing this out.
Support for Profoto Remote Flash Control and for new M-lenses only though, no support for the new battery type.
