Sigma launche three new lenses that advance the performance envelope for L-Mount users. The new from Sigma 20-200mm F3.5-6.3 provides an “all-you-need” lens for those who like to travel light. The Sigma 35mm F1.2 provides low light performance and beautiful bokeh in a lighter package. The Sigma 135mm F1.4 provides stunning bokeh and 3-dimensional rendering. All three lenses will be released on 25 September.
Sigma 20-200mm F3.5-6.3 DG | Contemporary
The world’s first high-power 10x zoom lens with a 20mm opening gambit for full-frame mirrorless cameras can cover everything from ultra-wide to telephoto 200mm. Photographers can capture subjects ranging from sweeping landscapes to fast-paced sports, including close-ups with a maximum magnification ratio of 1:2. With its broad capabilities, Sigma says that the lens truly shines in travel photography and everyday snapshots.
The lens delivers a consistently comfortable shooting experience. It is both compact and lightweight, as well as reasonably fast. Accurate autofocus is powered by a linear motor HLA (High-response Linear Actuator). The Sigma 20-200mm F3.5-6.3 is claimed to be the perfect all-in-one zoom lens, offering all photographers unprecedented freedom and creativity, according to the company.
There is no optical image stabilisation incorporated in this lens, however.

Thoroughly compact and lightweight design: Despite having a vast zoom range from ultra-wide 20mm to telephoto 200mm, the lens weighs only 550g and measures just 115.5mm in length. The zoom ring diameter is a very slim 70.4mm, making it highly portable. Without worrying about size or weight, the user benefits from extensive creative flexibility in any situation, from everyday snapshots to travel photography.

The lock can be released by the switch and also via zoom operation, allowing for flexible handling of even impromptu shooting.
Designed to minimize flare and ghosting: Flare and ghosting, which reduce image quality, are addressed under all conditions of incident light, using the most advanced simulation technology. High backlight resistance enables clear and sharp images under any lighting conditions.
Editorial note
This new super-zoom from Sigma marks an important milestone in modern zoom lens design. With more photographers favouring wide-angle photography for landscape and architecture, existing 24mm and 28mm (starting angle of view) lenses are often considered restrictive. At under £800 (in the United Kingdom), this is lens offers an unrivalled performance/price ratio.
The lack of OIS will be a disappointment in such a long lens, however, and users will have to rely on IBIS if available.
The Panasonic-Lumix 20-60mm has become a popular lens because of its wide angle. But the new Sigma is truly a one-lens solution for many photographers. It offers an astounding range without excessive size or weight. Providing the performance is in line with Sigma’s claims, this is likely to be an outstanding addition to the L-Mount lens line-up.
Sigma 35mm F1.2 DG II | Art
The 35mm F1.2 has been designed and engineered with Sigma’s latest technology. It offers not only improved optical performance, but also greatly enhanced portability. The new design is a significant 30% smaller than the previous generation.
With its improved design, the lens delivers unparalleled rendering power. It delivers high-resolution images and a large, beautiful bokeh in a more portable form. Focus breathing is also effectively minimized, ensuring outstanding results not only in still photography, but also when shooting video.
The Sigma 35mm F1.2 is an exceptional, uncompromising lens. It achieves the perfect balance between optical performance, brightness, compact size, light weight and ease of use.

Extreme suppression of chromatic aberration and sagittal coma flare: The Sigma 35mm F1.2 DG II | Art offers even better optical performance than its predecessor, with brilliant clarity throughout the image, even at the fully open F1.2 aperture. Designed to minimize focus breathing: Optimization of the focus group arrangement and aspherical shape significantly suppresses focus breathing. A key factor behind this is the adoption of a floating focus design: by allowing the lens groups to move independently of each other.
Consequently, the weight of each lens group has been significantly reduced while simultaneously enhancing optical performance. Additionally, the improved optical design features four aspherical lens elements, high refractive index glass, and thinner lens elements, further contributing to its exceptional performance.
Fast and quiet autofocusing with dual HLA system: The dual HLA (High-response Linear Actuator) system drives each of the two focus groups by an individual linear motor. In addition, the use of multiple magnets in each motor allows for a compact focus unit design without sacrificing high thrust. The tripod socket is also removable and can be replaced with the supplied protective cover.
Supplied hood with a button-type locking mechanism: The supplied hood is equipped with a button-type locking mechanism for secure attachment and removal. It is constructed from CFRP, a polycarbonate material reinforced with carbon fiber, making it both lightweight and durable.

Currently, we have only UK pricing, but they will act as a guide to prices in other markets: The Sigma 20-200mm F3.5-6.3 DG | Contemporary will retail for £799 (including 20% Value Added Tax). The Sigma 35mm F1.2 DG II | Art is £1,299 and the Sigma 135mm F1.4 DG | Art is £1,649. All three lenses will be available worldwide on 25 September 2025.
