The new Billingham Capsule 1 pouch is a useful accessory for any of the standard Billingham camera bags, adding an extra layer of security and a convenient method of transfer for a small camera and lens. It’s also perhaps the most endearing potential Christmas present for a Macfilos reader that we are likely to see this side of December 25.
Wide opening
The Capsule 1 is a small pouch with a sturdy leather carrying handle and a wide, doctor-bag opening for easy access. With external dimensions of 160×116×290mm, it is large enough to hold a camera and lens, and small enough to fit in a typical Billingham “bucket” bag insert. It is also ideal as a packing pouch when carrying camera gear in a larger overnight or weekend bag. Internal dimensions are 100×85×200mm and the Capsule 1 weighs only 300g.
Four finishes
The new bag comes in four popular Billingham colours: sage Fibrenyte with chocolate leather, black Fibrenyte with black leather, burgundy canvas with chocolate leather, and khaki Fibrenyte with chocolate leather.
Billingham state that the Capsule 1 pouch delivers the perfect balance of protection, practicality and timeless style.
Harry Billingham commented, “With the Capsule 1, we wanted to create a truly versatile pouch that reflects Billingham’s commitment to quality and craftsmanship, while offering photographers a compact, elegant way to protect their most valued gear”
Price and availability
The Billingham Capsule 1 pouch will sell for £125 and €143, both prices including Value Added Tax. The tax-free prices are £104.17 and €123 respectively. The bag is now available to order.
