iPad World: Feverish interest as tablet goes international

Long queues are reported in Australia and Japan, with overnight campers getting first chance to fondle the new iPad. Shoppers have been sleeping in London's Regent Street outside the flagship Apple Store, with some front-of-queue geeks refusing up to £200 to give up their place. Estimates are that Apple has received pre orders for 600,000 units and it is likely that a million iPads will be sold outside the USA in the first week of availability. The iPad is also getting blanket coverage on morning television channels in the UK and is featured in all national newspapers.
