Kindle: Out of stock, new model on way?

This morning’s news that the Kindle is “temporarily out of stock” at Amazon is surely the precursor to the anticipated upgrade. Since the DX appeared with its new high-resolution screen it was only a matter of time before the smaller device got a makeover. It will be interesting to see whether the recent price reduction in the Kindle was simply a way of clearing stock or a permanently low entry level cost.
