Piel Frama, Spain’s luxury leather case specialists, have taken the best of Apple’s Smart Cover design and twinned it with their own complementary Magnum case. While offering all the convenience of the Smart Cover, the Magnum protects the back of the iPad and part of the edges.
Having said that the Smart Cover is all I need, I admit to being tempted by this idea of having a substantial protective case while still being able to use the Smart Cover. The Magnum, similar in design to the excellent Magnum iPhone case, has a polypropylene inner structure with ABS protection and has a leather exterior and soft leather lining. It comes in a full range of colours to match the Apple range of Smart Covers. Cost is €90, including courier delivery anywhere in Europe. Obviously the Smart Cover isn’t included.
