First we have Colonel Gadaffi meddling with the internet, now a 75-year-old biddy in Georgia is charged with cutting off the entire internet service in neighbouring Armenia. Apparently the pensioner was scavenging for copper and took a fancy to a stretch of Georgian Railway Telecom’s valuable cable in the village of Ksani. Three of the major Albanian wholesale internet providers in Armenia were off the net for the evening of March 28. The old dear faces three-years’ hard labour. Gadaffi, meanwhile, gets off scot free.
