Apple in the sky gets nearer by the day. Despite appearing to be outflanked by Amazon’s CloudDrive last week, Apple is busy squirrelling away the bytes in preparation for launch, probably this summer. According to StorageNewsletter.com, Cupertino has placed an order with Seattle-based Isilon Systems for no less than 12 petabytes of storage (12,000 terabytes), presumably for the North Carolina server farm.
