You couldn’t make this up if you tried. Researchers at Nokia have come up with a new concept involving a ring on your finger to control your smartphone. If that were all, maybe we wouldn’t be too shocked. But wait for it: The ring communicates with a “bracelet” worn around the wrist. The prototype looks like a Casio G-Shock but we are promised more elegant bracelets in future.
If Apple came up with a whacky idea like this Steve would be laughed out of the Moscone Centre. But from the vantage point of the burning deck maybe it doesn’t sound so far-fetched after all.
