I’ve been sceptical about the arrival of an iPad 3 this year. It’s just too soon after the introduction of the iPad 2 and a complete model change risks upsetting a lot of buyers of the second-generation device. But the latest indications are that we could indeed see a new iPad but not a replacement mdoel. The rumoured iPad HD or iPad Pro, which would be a more expensive and higher-resolution version of the existing tablet, makes great sense and would be a typical development for Apple. There are many out there (some, even,in MacFilos Towers) who would pay a little extra for a pro model. Meanwhile, buyers of the current tablet would not feel shortchanged as they would if Apple merely introduced an iPad 3.
