Pastafarian wears pasta strainer in driving licence picture

Members of the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster (Pope: Richard Dawkins) will be delighted to hear that the religion of Pastafarianism has been approved by the Austrian government.

Following the government’s decision to allow religious headgear in official photographs, committed atheist Niko Alm has won approval to wear a spaghetti strainer on his head.

I was never much enamoured of the spaghetti monster concept, but I rather take to pastafarianism. Come to think of it, though, I do spend overmuch time at the shrine of the Blessed Jobs in Covent Garden. I’d better not risk apostasy.
