In April crowdflow.net monitored the movement of 880 iPhones across Europe. Take a look at this great video and watch international phones flitting from one country to another, and note the incomers from other continents. There’s a strong German bias to the data sample which results in the main blobs covering the major conurbations—Berlin, Frankfurt, Cologne-Duesseldorf, Munich. Other European capitals, such as London (which ought to be the biggest blob of all on a wider sample), are relatively small. Fascinating stuff. And you can donate your own logs to add to the database.
