New iPhone, just go out and buy sight unseen

I tend to agree with Shawn Blanc. If Apple introduce a new iPhone in September, then just go out and buy it. The big difference between the iPhone and other smartphones is that you can move on our old model to a new owner at a good rate. Enough, certainly, to make the purchase of an iPhone 5, or maybe a 4S, not that painful. This applies equally to most other Apple products, from MacBook Pros to the iPod touch. If you’re looking for an analogy, let’s just say that the iPhone is the Leica M9 of the smartphone world.
