Things aren’t going well for Research in Motion these days. Flagging sales, a lacklustre and extensive tablet offering were enough to swallow at the Waterloo, Ontario, headquarters. Until this week’s three days of message and email outages hit them between the eyes. According to the BBC, some high-profile users are weighing in to criticise RIM’s handling of the situation. Lord Sugar, he of The Apprentice, is not best pleased:
In all my years in IT biz, I have never seen such a outage as experienced by BlackBerry. I can’t understand why it’s taking so long to fix.
BlackBerry, you’re fired. Take your roller case and get in that taxi.
There’s one good thing to come out of this. There are unlikely to be any riots in the next twenty four hours. All the chavs are offline.
