OS X Lion: Automatic restoration of apps can be frustrating

RestoreMeNot is a simple, free app that allows you selectively to mark applications you do not wish to restore automatically after a crash or reboot. While many people find the ability to restore the desktop to the status quo before a crash, I find the long loading time frustrating. That’s why I’ve downloaded RestoreMeNot and given the hex to a number of apps.
