iPod Turns 10 Years Old Today – Mac Rumors

Thanks for reminding me, Arnold. In ten years the iPod has taken Apple from a tech also-ran to the most valuable company in the world. Had it not been for the iPod, Apple’s first real diversification from the Mac computer, we might never have seen the iPhone, the iPod touch, nor the iPad.

Sales figures show that the stand-alone iPod has had its day. But its legacy will live on in the iPod touch and all other iOS devices. Happy birthday, iPod, you’re a star.
