More on battery life: Why you won’t want LTE

Battery bashing is fast becoming my favourite hobby horse. It comes as no surprise to read in MacDailyNews this explanation of why the average iPhone owner will not want to keep up with the Android Jones’s when it comes to faster data networks. LTE, which offers blisteringly fast data speeds, comes at the price of even worse battery life. So far, Apple has successfully managed to balance expectations against capabilities. As we have already seen with developments such as Siri and iCloud, advancement comes at a cost of reduced battery life. It’s an example of how we need to curb our enthusiasm in the interests of a satisfactory overall experience.
