More evidence that physical book sales are plummeting comes from The Telegraph. Sales of printed books in Britain fell by a dramatic 25 percent to only four million in January 2012 compared with the same month last year.
Throughout the world physical books are in a steady decline and electronic books are filling the void. It is now only a matter of time before e-readers become the norm and physical books are a rarity. And at this reate of decline the point of no return will come sooner rather than later. Book chains and high-street book stores are already under intense pressure and I cannot see them lasting much longer.
