Storing sensitive emails in 1Password

Here’s an excellent tip from David Sparks of MacSparky for storing emails in 1Password. Very often we receive emails confirming registration details, both for web sites and software purchases, and it’s nice to be able to store them somewhere secure rather than leaving them in a mail archive.

1Password stores an encrypted COPY of the mail and does not record simply a link back to Mail where the sensitive information could be vulnerable. You can copy over the mail message and then delete it with confidence from the message archive. The fact that the entire message is copied over to 1Password ensures that the email can be viewed on a Mac, an iPhone or iPad.
